whats good ya’ll!!!

anyway i gave my granny her throw. its kind of wonky but i don’t think she’ll care. could be due to my no knowledge of blocking. but i did the best i knew to do! she wasn’t in a good mood anyway cause she found out she is in the early stages of Alzheimer’s and my Dad had to take her ride from her. so she was kind of pissy. both pictures were taken before i got my new camera this past weekend! YAY!!!

i made a pin cushion last night while watching the Mole. good show. i got i love this book! i wanna make almost everything in it! but started simple with the pincushion.

instead of fabric i used roving and needle felted around some steel woll and polyfil.  i wanna make another.

i also got some doll furniture patterns…

and i got this to make and sell. i can only make 50 a year(which won’t happen) and i have to give the creator credit(which i’m fine with) i thought it was cute and was looking for one of these when i had babies but never could find one or a pattern cute enough. i got one now and someone is always having babies!

YAY!!!!

i started binding of today. i’m not to happy with how off my stitches are BUT i refuse to frog again. soooo i am curious to see what it will look like blocked. i plan to work on the BO tomorrow also. figure it will most likely take all day considering i will work in spurts. i hope to get it blocked friday morning so i can put it on hubby’s side of the room where no one will go all day and its by the iron sooo no one will bother it. i hope to get it done as saturday is granny’s birthday party.

so i’m looking around the web lately and i really want to get into sewing little things like wallets and purses and diaper bags and stuff. so i’ve been looking for patterns and tutorials. what i really want to do is make my own design… yeah uh huh.   i also want to eventually do clothes… my dilemma… I CAN’T SEW STRAIGHT TO SAVE MY LIFE. i suck. no matter what i do whatever i sew is crooked. so i guess i will have to practice. my sis wants to do craft shows this fall. and i really want to do them with her… my other dilemma… shes doing baby quilts. mine are far better than hers i think… but since she suggested it i’ll let her have it. which makes me sad. but i will figure out something else. she wants me to knit baby bibs and dish rags. ugh. you know how many i would have to do in order to have enough and how much i would be sick of them by the time i got to that number??? nope i don’t think so.

so heres what i want to work on for my girls…

its made of plastic canvas…  so the more i look online at furniture patterns the more i’m kind of mad i bought it.  cause i had a plan to make a doll house from a book case. BUT i saw this and changed my mind.  so now i’m back to the book case cause i feel that will be easier.  so i might keep this for later or sell it.  but i have some time to think on it.  ok i’m tired though i have done absolutly nothing today… but i haven’t got much sleep since the stupid dogs keep waking me up at all hours of the night.  GOD please send someone to buy them!!!!  please…

i must be dumb. my chart work is off for some reason and i checked my stitches and they were right up till i got to the chart. ok the first one was my mistake because i didn’t realize how crucial it was to pay attention and check my work. i also dropped my stitch marker which didn’t help matter. so the second time and learning how to do psso right i was checking my work. until my sm fell off AGAIN without me knowing. i think thats where i messed up. so i frogged again last night. i think i will take a break and do something mindless today. i also think i will learn how to put lifelines in today too. cause if i have to frog for the 5th time i will not be co again. i got a rewritten pattern with no chart from the yahoo group. so i will try and do that one this time!

so i am doing a “Block A Month” or something with my sister and mom… i haven’t done my block yet and it is due this saturday. it looks fairly easy so i need to get on that.

hubby didn’t go to work till late cause he had to wait on the FedEx guy so…. that meant time to knit.  i don’t know why but when hes around i can’t function to do any house work.  so i started over on the Hemmie .  i have made it to round 42.  i have a life line in at 24 and will probably add another at 47.   hes gone now so i might to clean the craft room while i cook dinner… maybe or we just might eat late like usual and i go back to knitting…  i’ll get to the quilt block later..

here is my Hemlock thus so far. i had to join the Yahoo group in order to learn how to read the chart. cause i thought i had it but either by the time i got to the chart i forgot or i never had it. cause when i read it, i hadn’t had a clue as to what i was supposed to do next. but it is coming along nicely and i think i will be finished way before the 12th YAY!

i saw something on evilbay the other day… it gave me an idea of a Christmas present for the girls. and yes it will add to my crafts… but it will be handmade and wonderful. so i ordered a book on ama.zon cause the ones on evilbay were going for $50 and i was not paying that much for it when i got mine on ama.zon for $17+shipping ! but i won’t say anymore cause i have to get the book first and go over it to see if it is something i really want to invest time into. it has something to do with barbie dolls since they don’t like baby dolls anymore. i don’t understand that. they are 5 & 7! i played with baby dolls till i was 13!!! oh well. my nieces still likes them and so does my 3 yo.

@Rosa~ gurl you would be surprised at how much i don’t get done and how much my kids are neglected!! naw but for real i don’t get as much as you think done i whipped all that stuff up in the wee hours of the morning. while everyone was sleep.

so i bought my yarn today. Cascade Eco Wool in color 9012.. its like a taupe and ecru mix. not what i wanted but the LYS only had neutral colors and my granny doesn’t really care. i just wanted to do it in her favorite color green… ewww but hey she likes it. i want to have it done by July 12th thats her party….she has a party every year…. i haven’t had a birthday party since grade school!!!! well i ran into a road block on round 14, but got past it after froggin 3 times. i think i’ve messed up some where… i’m on row 40 and i really don’t want to frog it.

my niece Lay-Lay had her 2nd birthday this past saturday. this girl is as smart as a whip. very advance. so i thought i would make her a few things to give to her along with a coloring book and Inspiration reading book. i made her a crayon roll from skip to my lou and a notetaker book form Kathy Mack. and a bag to put it all in. everyone was very impressed!!! actually so was i!

i have also been working on my crochet. i crochet 2 bootie/ shoes for my reborns… but only crocheted one of each. i don’t like the yarn whic is strange seeing as how it id my fav… cotton… but i digress. so i think i will try them in the crochet thread which will make them smaller and probably fit better. but i know i will have to adjust it. but i got these patterns from, Sylver Designs. they are the cutest. i know i will eventually get them all.

and here are the babies i’ve been working on. i think i may go to the Tiny Treasures doll show tomorrow. so i can look at the babies!

my new love!!! i am really getting this crochet. i don’t know what happened. i was suckin at it and then something just clicked and i got it. same thing happened with knitting! i just kept at it and then one day just got it! now i’m looking for stuff to crochet. i’m doing some little baby shoes for my reborns right now. i’d take a picture but i broke my camara last week. plan on buying another one this weekend hopefully. so we shall see. i’m gonna start this soon for my granny for her 82nd birthday next month. and from what i have seen on Raverly it doesn’t take long. i just need to find some yarn. ok posting just isn’t all that fun without pictures!

so i haven’t posted in over a month… not like ya’ll care. last month i moved and i am still trying to get situated. i have been driving my kids back and forth to school so they can finish the year, last day of school was yesterday so i am done with that. i participated in Sharon’s virtual baby shower, “Fiber Baby” and i have finally finished my gifts for Sharon, Monkey and Noodle. YAY!!! i have to fix a few things and then they will be on their way! So i made Sharon a sugar scrub, Noodle the blanket and Monkey the baby. i hope they like their gifts!

ok so my mom was done with the quilts when i got to her house on friday… back in March… well i didn’t finish the binding until last thursday… what was i thinking??? i just think i was nervous about doing it by hand. so as a i started i thought to myself …there is no way i’m gonna finish this tonight and have then ready to go. so i just used a decorative stitch on the sewing machine and was done with it. i then threw them in the wash and then i played around with some freezer paper stencils!! can we saw new hobby! i have an idea for a shirt for me… but i will share it when i get it figured out!

i went on a quilt shop hop this weekend with my mom and sister! it was cool. 2 of them sold yarn alos.. but i didn’t get any. i did get some fabrics though. i haven’t figured out what i will do with them just yet. i do have a profect in mind… actually 3 but i’m leaning toward one more than the others.

i’m not quite finished with the doll yet. i melted her eye and was so distrought over that i lost interest in it… but then i figured it out and kind of fixed it. i don’t think anyone will be able to tell the difference but i can. so i’m just not happy with her at the moment. but i will give it to her anyway. i don’t like her hair either. i will post pictures when she is done.

i know she won’t have even started them. and i’ll probably end up sitting with her all night to have them done… maybe if i go over there early and have Twin pick up the kids when she goes to pick up Niece then i can get her to have them done by tomorrow night… hmmmm… most likely she will do it just so she can peek in on my puppies… but as of right now hubby does not want her at my house. long messed up story but if you’d like to read about it go here… excuse my language i can get a little raw at times. anyway… i really want them finished by the weekend cause i need to do the label. my older sister suggest i wait to put the label on so they won’t get quilted over… since she suggested it maybe i can get her to hand sew them on too… i hate sewing by hand… she also suggested i hand sew the binding on… she would.. i mean she loves to sew by hand why wouldn’t she suggest it. to bad shes on spring break this week. i’d have her sew on the binding too! so i’m also thinking of maybe some receiving blankets… as i was burp cloths and bibs… but got to thinking… shes having twins so that means twice as much work… so i’ll just buy something. maybe a box of diapers… never can have to many diapers! especially with twins.

oh does anybody know how to make some cute patches for jeans??  or at least where i can find a pattern or tut on the net.  i’ve serched and come up with nothing!  thanks

ok i was tagged by Sharon but… my book has walked off. it was Cesar’s Way by Cesar Milan and it has dogs on the cover so… i *know* who got it.  i guess i’ll have to beat it out of her as to where she put it! so i wasn’t ignoring you i just don’t know where little miss sticky fingers put my book! sorry!

i finally got the quilts almost done. all i need to do now is make the backs and go buy some batting so i can get them quilted. i decided to go ahead and have my mom do them. oh i have to buy some thread too. but here they are…

in baby making news… hmmm… that didn’t sound right! oh well ya’ll know what i’m talking about!! i hope! i’m making a doll for DD#1 friend… yeah i’m still working on it. i keep forgetting stuff to order. but i got most of her done. now i just need to root her hair and put her together and dress her… which i still need to find… shes getting there.

its sort of not my taste at all BUT DD#2 likes it so she can get something from it. looks like sherbet doesn’t it? i like it but i just don’t like all the colors mixed together like that but hey its yarn so who knows what it will look like knitted up.
